At this time of year the tides throw up all kinds of treasure, yesterday we managed to get a beach walk before the sea mist came in and obscured the view.

We collect driftwood for the fire, I sift through it and keep interesting bits to thread together with rope and twine also found and turn them into mobiles – this is not some amazing arts and crafts thing I just enjoy the odd washed up item being added to another.

About Ruth

I am an actor and theatre maker, I moved down to the SW of England 20 years ago with my partner and son. Ten years ago we bought a chalet on the Rame Peninsula and are fully embracing life of the cliff.
