new year beach finds

Now is the best time to find washed up treasure on the beach and the other day we came up trumps. I just love the colour.

Looking amongst the rocks we came across washed up rope. We couldn’t decide whether it was naturally washed up like that or had been positioned by someone intent on making pretty patterns. See what you think.

Now I see them on the page, so to speak, they look very much like they’ve been tampered with. I think the green one is very spidery in form and we did actually move the blue one to get a better shot.

On our bit of beach there’s been a large piece of tree trunk, again washed up, for most of the year. It’s so large that the sea can’t drag it back out. Over the months it’s been buffeted by the waves and elements and is now turning into a sculpted work of art.

It looks like an animal head with an eye and a snout!!
