new additions

So over the summer we have acquired some new ‘stuff’ for the chalet

A new post box from cox and cox, our previous wooden one had been taken over by a colony of earwigs and you risked your hand every time you ventured inside for the post.

A proper outdoor table and benches – now eating out on the deck is a pleasure as we have the space to properly entertain.

my ‘upcycled’ card table, about to be used here for a teenage tea-party, complete with card tricks!! They’re all the rage with teenage boys, card tricks that is, not tea parties.

and this print found at the St Luke’s (Shabby Chic)Hospice shop in the Plymouth Barbican. It’s a bit retro and shabby around the edges but suits the chalet just fine and reminds me of the winter waves along the bay.

I especially like the print! The benches for the outdoor table look very comfy. I just love when we eat outside on our patio. Somehow the food tastes better in the fresh air and sunshine.
