High tide from high up

There’s nothing nicer than wandering down to the beach after a warm day and seeing the tide in, this is actually an hour and a half before the official high tide but still covering the beach. At our little patch there is still enough space to sit and it’s the ideal time to swim where the beach is rock free and the warm hard sand is easy on the feet.

This shot is taken from the little bench outside the lifeguard hut all shut up for another year and looking rather forlorn – especially when the weather conditions are more than congenial for an afternoon swim.
